Joan McAlpine: Margo’s bill gives us a real choice When Margo MacDonald first spoke in favour of the right to an assisted death, I was sceptical. Her intervention in a 2008 parliamentary debate on the issue was poignant and moving. Margo suffers from Parkinson’s disease, but this strong and able woman is the last person one could imagine giving up on life.
