Bishop of Exeter in Lords' debate on assisted dying THE Bishop of Exeter has condemned a controversial move to change the law on assisted dying. Labour’s former Lord Chancellor Lord Falconer of Thoroton put forward an amendment to the Coroners and Justice Bill which was due to be voted on by peers last night that would allow people to help someone with a terminal illness travel to a country where assisted suicide is legal.
